STORY – From an Ordinary Office Worker to a Guinness Record Holder with Over 560 Piercings

Looking at Rolf Buchholz today, it’s hard to imagine he was once a completely ordinary person 😱

Born in Dortmund, Germany, Rolf graduated with a university degree in telecommunications and spent many years working at a major IT corporation. A quiet, unremarkable life β€” until he turned 40.

The first tattoo. Then the first piercing. Then the second. And the journey never stopped 😨

To date, Rolf has over 560 piercings across his body β€” more than 170 of them on his face alone and 278 in intimate areas. On top of that, he has a split tongue, horn-shaped subdermal implants on his forehead, and nearly his entire body covered in tattoos.

All of this earned him an official Guinness World Record as the most body-modified person on the planet πŸ†

For Rolf, it was never about chasing records. He sees body modification as a form of art and personal freedom β€” not about becoming someone else, but about letting the world see who he truly is on the inside.

And in reality, behind that intimidating appearance is an intelligent, friendly, easy-going man who smiles often and is very approachable.

Not everyone sees it that way, though. In 2014, he was denied entry into Dubai on “security” grounds β€” airport officials reportedly suspected him of being… a black magician πŸ˜‚
